| As a small child the notion of creating fun things out of basic materials always caught my interest. This interest grew over the years. In college, I knew I would have to find a field of study that would allow me to continue this love of design and fabrication. After receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing, I was invited to join two friends in Florida who had a small jewelry design studio. I knew then I found my niche. During that time, I explored many different aspects of metalsmithing. I feel that I really grew as a designer. Since then, I have been teaching silversmithing, helping students tap into their "inner metalsmith". My students are always amazed at their hidden abilities. Currently, I work from my own studio, creating original work for my private clients. I have also been involved in manufacturing and mass production. I develop jewelry lines for specialty products. |
